What Is the COVID-19 and Why Does It Matter?

COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. Most people infected will experience moderate respiratory problems; however, older citizens and those with underlying medical issues are more likely to develop serious illness. It is all of our responsibility to help slow the spread together to protect ourselves, families, and communities.

What Is the Current Situation in Tampa Bay, Florida?

COVID-19 has spread rapidly around the world, including here in Florida. Cases are being confirmed daily, which is why the state is encouraging all residents to practice social distancing and follow guidelines.

What Are the Mandatory Requirements for Clinics?

While there are no state or county-level capacity limits for clinics, there are important safety rules in place. Physical distancing guidelines are in place, and we have ensured proper sanitation measures throughout our center. According to the local guidelines, face coverings are required in all public places, including our center.

What Are the Best Ways to Combat COVID-19?

Our patients’ and staff’s safety is of paramount importance to us, and we are doing our bit to lower the spread in the community. To keep you and your fellow residents safe, please wear a mask or face covering over your mouth and nose, stay at least six feet from others, and wash your hands frequently.

Egozi Plastic Surgery Center has implemented a range of new protocols to help visitors abide by COVID-19 rules.

How to prevent COVID-19

How We Are Protecting Our Staff

  • All staff wear N95 masks.
  • Air purification systems are in place throughout.
  • Patient appointments are spaced 15 minutes apart.
  • All staff have tested negative for COVID-19.
  • Anyone scheduled for surgery will be tested for COVID-19 before surgery.
  • Each patient will have a temperature reading upon arrival. Anyone with a temperature >99.6 F will be asked to reschedule.

How We Are Protecting Our Clients

Including the steps mentioned above, we have implemented a range of measures to protect patients:

1) Offering Standard Surgical Masks to Patients

We provide standard surgical masks for patients who do not have a mask or have left it at home. Our staff will be wearing masks when they have close patient contact.

We have a limited quantity of N95 Masks available for $10 each. Call us now to reserve yours.

2) Sterile Air Ventilation for Operation Room

The 3-stage Medical Grade Filtration system in our Operating Room purifies air four times an hour, filtering out 99.99% of all particles (including those the size of coronavirus).

In the wake of the pandemic, I have purchased smaller 3-stage Medical Grade Filtration systems for every room where patients interact with staff. The installation of these systems assures you that you need not be concerned if someone coughs in the room before your appointment.

Our stringent air-purifying measures are far beyond CDC Guidelines and add an extra measure of safety for you and our staff.

3) Procedure Measure for Deep Room Cleaning

As we were before the pandemic, we are deep-cleaning every room after each patient visit. Common areas and contact points are also being cleaned multiple times per day.

What We Are Offering to Our Customers During COVID-19

Egozi Plastic Surgery Center is continuing to offer all surgical and non-surgical treatments. Alongside our usual treatments, we are offering COVID-19 serology testing for a small fee of $75.

Patients are advised to book surgeries quickly. We have six weeks of backlog to work through, and numerous patients are looking to rejuvenate themselves during this period that allows for easier at-home recovery.
